We completed the fit-out of a Sicilian and Mediterranean restaurant located in a downtown neighbourhood.
Architectural priorities of this renovation included opening the kitchen to the dining room, maintaining the existing pizza-oven, increasing storage capacity, providing comfortable acoustics, and respecting the existing electrical capacity.
The use of natural materials, including white oak, supple leather, ceramic tile, and brass, echo Sicilian aesthetics while offering a unique experience in Toronto. A light palette and continuous mirrors brighten and extend this compact space, while carefully coordinated lighting fixtures and furniture selections differentiate spatial zones and contribute to the overall ambience.
The intimate private dining room on the lower level features wrap-around velvet drapes, a bar, and gold ceilings, perfect for personal or business gatherings, while the existing rear patio provides a quiet oasis away from the busyness of city life.
