Sutton, Town of Georgina, Ontario

2016

The Town of Georgina is York Region's northern-most municipality, located on the shores of Lake Simcoe. It is the province's original "cottage country", with marinas and harbours, sandy public beaches, provincial parks, natural and wildlife sanctuaries, museums, and eclectic shopping and dining.

Working with Town of Georgina, we have created a cultural and creative hub within the former Sutton Public School. The Town's long-term vision for the facility includes the housing of various non-profit organizations as a Multi-Sector Service Centre, including the Georgina Arts Centre & Gallery, Georgina Trades and Training Inc., and Hospice Georgina. Within the building, the goal is to include amenities such as: a welcome area for hub guests and visitors, permanent flex space for small organizations, meeting rooms, gallery space for the display of art, event, dining and small conference space and a commercial training kitchen.
